HSE Students Part of SAP Hackaton Winner Team
A team which includes several HSE students has won the SAP InnoJam hackaton in Moscow. The winners will now move forward to the SAP InnoJam in Europe this autumn.
The competition, which was organized in partnership with Sberbank, asked the participants to create a mobile banking app for everyday use by entrepreneurs.
Participants of the hackaton included students of HSE, Lomonosov MSU, ITMO University, Plekhanov Russian University of Economics, MISIS, and the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation. Following a 28-hour marathon, a team consisting of HSE students (Daniil Ignatovich, Anastasia Berzina and Igor Perepelitsyn from the undergraduate programme in Business Informatics; Peter Smirnov and Mikhail Kumskov from Software Engineering) and two MSU students (Alsu Bikkulova and Lusine Arsenyan) won the competition.
The contestants devised an app that helps track the status of contracts and projects, as well as assisting with business planning, looking for investment, and integrating other products by Sberbank and its partners. The jury chaired by Tanja Rueckert, Global President for Internet of Things at SAP, evaluated the projects on their innovativeness, compliance with the target audience requirements, modern principles of UI/UX design, and the possibility of the project being implemented on the AP HANA Cloud Platform.
The prize for the winners is a trip to the European SAP InnoJam.
