HSE and NES: Joint Bachelor of Arts Programme

HSE attracts Leading Scientists
On October 29th the results of the open public competition of the Ministry of Education and Science for financial support of research conducted under supervision of leading scientists in Russian universities were announced. Fedor Bogomolov, Professor of Mathematics at the New York University, and Ronald Inglehart, Professor at the University of Michigan Center for Political Studies, will both receive grants for research work at the HSE.

'Political Correctness Constrains Researchers'
From July 26th - 30th the VIII International Council for Central and East European Studies (ICCEES) Congress took place in Stockholm. The event takes place once every five years and brings together researchers from Russia and East Europe. This time 14 teachers and researchers from the HSE took part in the Congress, the largest delegation from one institution at the forum. Some participants of the Congress told us about the event.
On the Basis of Meritocratic Principles
Recently at the decision of the HSE Academic Council Andrey Melville was appointed Dean of the Faculty of Politics, and Professor Mark Urnov became Academic Supervisor of the Faculty.
